Federer is by far the hungriest player of the entire lot at the moment. Despite a Grand Slam and Masters series trophy in his showcase, the Swiss has been on the receiving end for most of 2010 season. Federer's back to back losses to players like Tomas Berdych and Andy Murray recently, have given a hint of his prime days being over. However, as opposed to the general notion of the critics (which isn't really in favour of the Swiss star), the four time Masters Cup champion opened the 2010 bid with an emphatic win over David Ferrer, the 2007 finalist. Federer's opponent has been a favourite case study of tennis pundits across the globe. Scot Andy Murray is considered by many as one of the most natural and gifted tennis players this generation has seen. The absence of Grand Slam glory and surprisingly below expectation performances at times have put the British star under the radar in the past few years though. Murray won two titles this year, both Masters series events in Toronto and Shanghai, beating Federer in the final on both occasions, who is his opponent. Murray's flawless performance against an in-form Swede Robin Soderling does raise a lot of hopes and expectations from the mighty Scot. Murray's strongest ally is his forehand and court coverage, which make him a strong counter puncher with a calibre to demolish the best in the business.
